Flooring installation and hardwood refinishing, starting with the prep.

Most flooring problems — cracked tile, gaps, squeaks, uneven planks — come from what's underneath. We start by checking and preparing the subfloor, then install tile or plank flooring, or bring existing hardwood back with sanding, stain and finish.

Planning

Things to decide early.

Refinish or replace?
If you have solid hardwood under carpet or worn finish, refinishing is often the better value.
Plank vs. tile
Plank is warmer and quicker to install; tile is ideal for wet areas and lasts for decades.
One floor through the house
Running the same flooring through connected rooms makes the space feel larger.
